Faith For Her was birthed when I got a simple text from a woman dear to me.
"I hate to say this, but I think I am losing my faith."
My heart broke and I struggled for the right words. How to you help reignite faith in another woman without undermining the circumstances that are breaking her heart? Then God reminded me that it's not about fixing, it's about sharing.
Christ followers have a unique "religion" in that it's not a religion at all. The evidence of our beliefs is our faith. That's it. No rituals, no idols, simply faith. Faith is mentioned in the Bible 458 times. Faith is woven through the stories of Sarah and Hannah and Esther and Ruth and Mary Mother of Jesus and Mary Magdeline and even you and me. It is the evidence of our great God. It is the foundation of following Jesus.
The Bible says that God gifts us all with certain spiritual gifts. Faith is one of those gifts. It is a gift God has given me and so I am compelled to share it.
My heart is to help women by sharing my faith and helping them share theirs. It is to help them live faithfully in the waiting-faithfully believing that when our prayers aren't answered in the way we had hoped-that God is still good. It is to remind women to be faithful in sharing their stories when God moves mountains through their faith and to share the stories of how He has moved mountains for me. These stories are the evidence of our faith and the exisistance of our great God.
I hope my blog becomes a place for you to come to seek refuge when your faith is wavering. I hope it is a place you will come to share with me your stories of faith and the hope God has given you to strengthen other women.
For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
